Systematic Botanical Surveys, Informed Management Strategies

Watson Botany is the result of years of practice identifying plant species in their habitats, conducting systematic and peer-reviewed scientific research, and working with and learning from both private and public land managers. Our careers have allowed us to work in ecosystems ranging from the eastern deciduous forests to the central grasslands and western deserts. This experience has taught us that every plant community and land management challenge is a unique opportunity to learn and adapt to a changing environment.
We approach each project with understanding and respect for the land itself and the people working to improve those lands. Our clients are on the ground and intimately familiar with the ecosystems they manage and make a living from. This respect guides every aspect of our work and we work to customize our data collection methods to best represent the plant communities, habitats, and management goals of our clients.
